Jacksonville Jaguars: 5 Potential breakout players for 2018
4. Cam Robinson, OT
The Jaguars had a huge need at left tackle entering the 2017 draft. Cam Robinson somehow slipped into the second round and the Jaguars knew they had to pounce by trading up for the former Alabama offensive lineman.
How did Robinson slide to the second round? Jim Gehman of NFL.com said:
"Robinson excelled on the field at the collegiate stage. Starting all 43 games at left tackle during his three years at the University of Alabama, he was a unanimous first-team All-America in 2016, and won the Outland Trophy as the nation’s top lineman on offense or defense."
Robinson, along with the rest of the Jaguars offensive line, only gave up 24 sacks in 2017. Robinson was a huge part of that by going against the best pass rushers in the league week after week. He also paved the way for Leonard Fournette all season. Fournette’s biggest run of the season can be attributed to the Crimson Tide mauler who can be seen below creating the hole for Fournette.

The Jaguars haven’t had a franchise left tackle since Tony Boselli. Khalif Barnes, Eugene Monroe, Luke Joeckel and Branden Albert looked to be one of the cornerstones, but none of them panned out. Robinson looks to be the guy for the next decade. The success of Bortles and Fournette this season will be due in part to Robinson.
