Penn State. Saquon Barkley. 1. player. 53. . Running Back

The best part about owning the top pick is the Browns can select any player they want to after becoming the second team in NFL history last season to go an entire year without winning a single game. In fact, Hue Jackson’s team has only recorded one win over the last two seasons, but the good news is the Browns have been quite busy this offseason when it comes to adding new talent.

One of the moves made by Cleveland early on in free agency was the signing of Carlos Hyde at running back, and as much as he deserves an opportunity to be the go-to guy in the backfield, it may be too difficult to pass on a talented player like Saquon Barkley at No. 1. After seeing how much of a nightmare he was for opponents during his time at Penn State, Barkley looks to follow the footsteps of previous top running backs selected early on over the last two years in Ezekiel Elliott and Leonard Fournette by making an impact right away as a rookie.

From lining up in the backfield to turning a quick screen pass into a big play, Barkley can be used in numerous ways on offense, and is a threat each time the football in his hands. Selecting a quarterback may be tempting for the Browns, but also they don’t want to look back wondering what could have been with Barkley.
