3 cons to signing Dez Bryant

His down years. Even though it could be twisted as a pro, Dez Bryant has failed to reach over 1,000 receiving yards in four years. That’s a huge reason why I think teams are shying away from him. He wasn’t at the top of his game when the Cowboys cut him and the Saints have a right to worry. It could mirror the signing of Peterson in 2017.

Bryant’s bad attitude. The New Orleans Saints are known for being incredibly competitive and being great sports. Bryant is the exact opposite and would rather fight than accept what the ref or coach tells him. It’s a huge red flag as to why the Saints should avoid him. Not only on the team would tolerate Bryant’s crybaby attitude or cut him any slack. If he would bring that same attitude to New Orleans, it would spell trouble for all involved.

Money. Easily the biggest and most realistic reason why the Saint won’t sign Bryant is money. The team dished out a lot of money to keep Drew Brees and signed some good but not great players. Signing Bryant isn’t going to be feasible and would halt all free agency signings. I don’t foresee the team going in for Bryant, either.
