Bottom Line

The reality of it is simple. Ultimately, the New Orleans Saints will do what they believe is best for the team. Even though they might need help at wide receiver, I don’t see them signing Bryant. Honestly, the cons truly do outweigh the pros for them. That being said, I’m sure Bryant will be a great fit for another team.

As for the Saints, they financially don’t have the money to sign Bryant. He’ll be expecting a big paycheck and the Saints can’t or won’t give him that. In addition, his attitude is terrible and he’s nowhere near the top of his abilities. The possibility of him returning to form with the Saints is slim.

The Saints still have Michael Thomas at the top with Ted Ginn and now, Cameron Meredith to make up the difference. If Willie Snead can find a place, then they’re set for now. The team could also look at drafting a receiver in one of the later rounds. The Saints have a lot of options besides Bryant to fill a hole on their roster.

The team is still in a position to take the NFC South and possibly become Super Bowl champions. They don’t need Bryant to make that happen, either. Hopefully, Bryant will find a home, just not on the New Orleans Saints.
