Chicago Bears: Top 10 draft picks in franchise history

The Chicago Bears have some great players play for them. As the 2018 NFL Draft nears, let’s take a look at the all-time best picks in franchise history.

The Chicago Bears franchise is one of the greatest ones in the history of the NFL. Heck, it’s one of the original teams. Some of the greatest players in the league’s history wore Bears jerseys. The Bears made a splash in this year’s free agency, giving the roster a different look than it’s had for awhile. To create a lasting contender, however, a franchise needs to succeed in the draft as well.

The 2018 NFL Draft is almost upon us. Next week we’ll officially see a new wave of players who may go on to add to the team’s and league’s greatness. Before we look into the future, however, we’ll take a look at the past.

Some of the all-time greats were Bears draft picks. They were so great that we know them today by just their nicknames — Sweetness, the Kansas Comet, and the Galloping Ghost are just a few of the greatest players who called Chicago home.

One note on this list. Yes, I’ll include Hall of Fame players. I will, though, include non-Hall of Famers as well. Some players who might not have been all-time greats but were great for where they got drafted and what they did for the franchise.

So, before we crown the newest members of the Chicago Bears, here are the best ones to come before them.
