Jacksonville Jaguars: 7-Round 2018 mock draft eight days away
By Larry Brake
Round 7: Tanner Lee, QB, Nebraska
Jacksonville uses its last draft pick on a quarterback, Tanner Lee. He will definitely be the third team quarterback and likely a work in progress. Expect Lee to run the scout team during the regular season game preparation.
Lee stands 6-4, weighing 220 pounds. He played two seasons, 2014-15, at Tulane. After transferring in 2016, he played his only season in Nebraska last season.
At Tulane, he completed 328 passes for 3,601 yards with 23 touchdowns and 21 interceptions. In his only season at Nebraska, he completed 246 passes for 3,143 yards with 23 touchdowns and 16 interceptions. His career passing efficiency rating is 117.1 for his collegiate career.
Lee’s strengths are discussed at NFL.com and his Combine numbers are posted:
"Experienced working from under center with NFL size. … Deep ball has some touch. Arm talent is a big plus. Able to rip tight spirals into small windows. … Can challenge and defeat tight man coverage on a good day. Goes from set to shoot in a moment’s notice. …"

Lee will get to mature under Blake Bortles and Cody Kessler. He will be molded into the prototype that the Jaguars organization likes. Unless forced by injuries, Lee will not see regular season game action for awhile. Think of him as the Jacksonville version of Jimmy Garoppolo.
