Round 5

Round 5 (171): Deadrin Senat, DT, South Florida : Deadrin Senat is built for a 4-3 scheme and mostly used as a nose tackle would be a solid role player for the Cowboys and a nice run stopper at 6-0, 314 pounds. He’s a strong player with 35 reps at the combine on bench press and even at his size recorded a vertical jump of 26 inches.

In descriptions about Senat, NFL.com Draft Expert Lance Zierlein describes Senat as a player who “never stops hustling and is willing to chance a tackle opportunity all over the field.” That would be valuable on the interior of the Dallas defensive line.

Round 5 (173): Tyquan Lewis, DE, Ohio State: In a previous mock draft, Tyquan Lewis was slated in this spot, and again, he needs to still be selected here if available because of the potential he brings as a role player for the defense of the Cowboys. Lewis was solid for Ohio State this past season, having 20 tackles and seven sacks.

Combined in his junior and sophomore seasons, he totaled 16 sacks, with eight in each of those seasons. Lewis is known for being a pass rusher and could provide a break for the starters on the Cowboys defense and help the Cowboys not miss a beat on a variety of plays throughout a given game.
