Flowers is the beginning of the multi-purpose player selection. You could call him the Swiss Army knife of offensive players in this draft.

Don’t let the fullback label fool you. He can be a power run option, lead block fullback, run routes, and catch passes. He can also play five different positions — tailback, fullback, H-back, wingback, and tight end — if you need him to.

The Jets need to add depth at the tight end position. He can be their second option at tight end. He can play in 12 personnel alongside Jordan Leggett. In fact, if they want to, the Jets can line Leggett up in the slot sometimes and use Flowers as their in-line tight end, which gives their offense an added look.

According to Lance Zierlein of NFL.com:

"Flowers may be viewed by some teams as a luxury, but he’s the type of luxury item that will pay for itself over time."

The Jets don’t have this sort of weapon on their team right now, and could use a do-almost-everything player like Flowers. Oklahoma used him in a variety of ways, and if the Jets draft him and do the same, it opens up their offense even more.
