Pittsburgh Steelers: Final 7-round 2018 mock draft
Wide receiver isn’t a huge concern for the Steelers heading into 2018, but adding some competition for the final spot or two wouldn’t be the worst idea. I can assure you Braxton Berrios wouldn’t have any problem creating competition during training camp.
The epitome of a tenacious, hard-nosed slot receiver, Braxton Berrios has already been marked as the 2018 class’ Wes Welker. Although the comparison is getting a little stale as the years go by, it makes perfect sense for the former Hurricane pass catcher.
What Berrios lacks in size and after-the-catch skills, he makes up for in crafty route running, reliable hands and explosiveness. He’s never going to be a star receiver, but he can develop into a reliable weapon, especially for an offense that already has a number of established playmakers in the passing game.
Berrios also suffered a pectoral injury during the Combine, nixing his opportunity to increase his value during the pre-draft process.

Regardless, Berrios has the look of a sleeper who could thrive in the right offense. With a future Hall of Fame quarterback throwing his way and plenty of weapons drawing the defense’s attention, I could see the Miami (FL) product making his presence felt in Pittsburgh somewhere down the road.
