It time for the final mock draft of the 2018 season, and it has the Jets taking their franchise quarterback after some unexpected moves at No. 1 and No. 2.

TRADE ALERT! After an unexpected move by the Cleveland Browns — after weeks of speculation that Josh Allen would go No. 1, they take Saquon Barkley No. 1 overall — the New York Giants trade out of No. 2 with the Buffalo Bills. The Bills select Baker Mayfield, and that leaves the New York Jets to choose from the two California quarterbacks.

They will either get a pro-ready quarterback (Josh Rosen), or the one most consider with the highest floor and highest ceiling (Sam Darnold). After all the grumblings by the fans that the Jets couldn’t even “tank” correctly, it appears that they lost just enough to be able to move up to get the guy they want.

So, the whole, developing a winning attitude worked for Todd Bowles and Mike Maccagnan after all. If they truly have Mayfield, Rosen, and Darnold all graded pretty close, then they are guaranteed to get one of the guys they want at No. 3. Now it’s just a matter of getting the rest right.

Who will they take? Let’s find out…
