The Oakland Raiders do have serious needs on the defensive side of the ball that must be addressed. That being said, taking the best available talent is always the preferred option. With their second round pick of this mock draft, Oakland fills another offensive need by taking Maryland wide receiver D.J. Moore.

A quick and athletic target on the outside, Moore is arguably the most talented wide receiver in this draft class. At 6-0, 210 pounds, Moore has good size on the outside and he uses it well when going up and fighting for the ball. His combination of size and athleticism is impressive, but it is not the best part of his game.

Moore is a gifted receiver who shows high-level speed and quickness. He breaks in and out of his cuts extremely well and can make defenders miss in short spaces. A true weapon with the ball in his hands, Moore is the kind of player who you can simply get the ball in open space and let him work.

On top of that, Moore has legitimate deep speed. He stretches the field well, which is something that the Raiders desperately need right now. Moore’s combination of skills are incredibly impressive and allow him to make an impact on the game in a variety of ways. Whether on the outside or in the slot, Moore is an impressive offensive weapon who has a lot of natural upside at the next level.
