2018 NFL Mock Draft: Josh Allen has reached the top
By Randy Gurzi
33. Cleveland Browns: Chukwuma Okorafor, Western Michigan, OT
The Browns will likely move Shon Coleman to left tackle as the replacement to Joe Thomas. That should work, but they may need to replace him at right tackle. Okorafor can do that and also has the possibility of being a left tackle as well should Coleman not work out.
34. New York Giants Desmond Harrison, West Georgia, OT
Another tackle comes off the board. This isn’t a strong class, but Desmond Harrison could be a solid find.
35. Cleveland Browns (via Houston): Isaiah Oliver, Colorado, CB
They didn’t go Denzel Ward at four, so the Browns go with Isaiah Oliver here. He’s got starting potential and isn’t a huge drop off from what Ward would bring.
36. Indianapolis Colts: Nick Chubb, Georgia, RB
Nick Chubb has been getting a lot less love than his teammate Sony Michel lately. That stops as he hears his name first here and lands in Indy.
37. Indianapolis Colts (via New York Jets): James Washington, Oklahoma State, WR
The Colts completely fleeced the Jets and pick once again. This time they get wide receiver James Washington, which adds a solid playmaker to their offense.
38. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Will Hernandez, UTEP, OG
Will Hernandez is a complete mauler. The Bucs need a better running back, but Hernandez will help make whoever they have look better.
39. Chicago Bears: Billy Price, Ohio State, OG/C
A partially torn pectoral muscle hurt Billy Price’s stock. He should be fine by Week 1, but does slide out of the first.
40. Denver Broncos: Brian O’Neill, Pittsburgh, OT
After landing their quarterback in the first, the Broncos get themselves an offensive tackle in an effort to boost their pass protection.
41. Oakland Raiders: Sam Hubbard, Ohio State, EDGE
A lot of mocks have Sam Hubbard going in Round 1. He has the talent, but there are too many other solid options ahead of him.

42. Miami Dolphins: Sony Michel, Georgia, RB
Michel is the second UGA back to get drafted in this round. He’s incredibly versatile, but is older than most rookie backs.
43. New England Patriots (via San Francisco): Mason Rudolph, Oklahoma State, QB
The Patriots will probably groom Mason Rudolph and before long he will look like the best pick in this draft. Why? Because that’s what seems to happen when they draft quarterbacks.
44. Washington Redskins: Ronald Jones II, USC, RB
The Redskins need a solid running back and USC’s Ronald Jones II can answer that call.
45. Green Bay Packers: Donte Jackson, LSU, CB
Green Bay gets an undersized corner in Donte Jackson. He’s got the skill to be a stud despite his size.
46. Cincinnati Bengals: Justin Reid, Stanford, S
The Bengals looked at one Reid in free agency. They draft the other here.
47. Arizona Cardinals: Luke Falk, Washington State, QB
If Sam Bradford stays healthy the Cards could be good. He never stays healthy though. Luke Falk gives them insurance and someone to groom.
48. Los Angeles Chargers: Leighton Vander Esch, Boise State, ILB
Some have Leighton Vander Esch in Round 1. That would be surprising after just one year of production at Boise State. He’s still a solid option though and the Chargers defense gets even better.
49. Indianapolis Colts (via New York Jets): Darius Leonard, S Carolina State, OLB
Darius Leonard has some great potential despite playing at a smaller school in South Carolina State. He helps the Colts continue their defensive rebuild.
50. Dallas Cowboys: James Daniels, Iowa, OG/C
James Daniels can come in and start at left guard for Dallas. He would be better than Marcus Martin from day one and can play either center or guard — which makes these coaches happy as they love position flex.
51. Detroit Lions: Arden Key, LSU, EDGE
Arden Key is a talented edge rusher, but the Lions have to be real comfortable with him to make the pick. Red flags are there, but the talent is worth the risk.
52. Baltimore Ravens: Dallas Goedert, S Dakota St, TE
Some think Dallas Goedert is the best tight end in the draft. He’s got the numbers for sure, but didn’t play against elite talent.
53. Buffalo Bills: Martinas Rankin, Mississippi State, OT
Buffalo gets a replacement for Cordy Glenn who they traded away in the offseason to move up in the first round.
54. Kansas City Chiefs: Ronnie Harrison, Alabama, S
Kansas City can use another safety in their secondary and Ronnie Harrison has all the tools to be a stud. He can play near the line or in deep coverage.
55. Buffalo Bills (via Los Angeles Rams): Rashaad Penny, SDSU, RB
LeSean McCoy still has it, but may not for much longer. Rashaad Penny was a talented stat machine for San Diego State and has a bright future.
56. Carolina Panthers: Hayden Hurst, South Carolina, TE
Another tight end comes off the board as the Panthers keep Hayden Hurst close to where he played collegiately.
57. Tennessee Titans: Josey Jewell, Iowa, ILB
Another Iowa product gets selected here. Josey Jewell was a tackling machine for the Hawkeyes and will fit in nicely with the Titans.
58. Atlanta Falcons: Christian Kirk, Texas A&M, WR
Christian Kirk can replace two people for the Dirty Birds. Receiver Taylor Gabriel and return man Andre Roberts are both gone and Kirk can fill those rolls nicely.
59. San Francisco 49ers (via New Orleans): Michael Gallup, Colorado St, WR
While at Colorado Michael Gallup caught everything. It won’t be long until he’s the favorite target for Jimmy Garoppolo.
60. Pittsburgh Steelers: Lorenzo Carter, Georgia, EDGE
Athleticism is the main reason Lorenzo Carter gets picked here. He still needs to put it all together and can be a lot of fun to watch once he does.
61. Jacksonville Jaguars: Kolton Miller, UCLA, OT
Jacksonville needs to buy Blake Bortles time to throw. Kolton Miller may be able to provide that — although there’s a slew of people who don’t believe in the UCLA product.
62. Minnesota Vikings: Marcus Allen, Penn State, S
There’s no better football name in this draft than Marcus Allen. He comes into Minnesota and provides depth in the secondary. He could end up vying for a starting job soon.
63. New England Patriots: Ogbonnia Okoronkwo, Oklahoma, EDGE
There are questions about Ogbonnia Okoronkwo because he’s smaller than most edge rushers. If any team can help him find his home, it’s New England.
64. Cleveland Browns (via Philadelphia): Harrison Phillips, Stanford, DT
Harrison Phillips is a non-stop motor guy. He’ll be a great addition to a defensive line that suddenly looks menacing.
