19. Dallas Cowboys: D.J. Moore, WR, Maryland

Dez Bryant is no longer with the Dallas Cowboys as they try to take their offense in a new, obviously younger direction. However, that new direction as it currently stands leaves Dak Prescott with a less than inspiring wide receiver group where his top two options are currently Allen Hurns and Terrance Williams. That can’t stand and the Cowboys have to realize that, so they take the No. 2 receiver on my board in D.J. Moore.

Because of his tenure at Maryland, the comparisons to Stefon Diggs are obvious for Moore. And though the school-to-school comparisons are often bothersome, you can see that in Moore’s game when it comes to how Diggs has performed as a pro. Moore is a great athlete with terrific hands and the ability to make things happen both with the ball in the air and in his hands. Though he may not have the size Dez once offered, I believe he’s a player more suited to being a No. 1 in a Prescott-led offense.

20. Detroit Lions: Marcus Davenport, EDGE, UTSA

To be picking 20th overall, the Detroit Lions roster has some pretty obvious holes that need to be addressed in the 2018 NFL Draft. They obviously could use a running back considering that they haven’t had a 100-yard rusher in a game in almost half a decade at this point. However, the more pressing need lies on the defensive side of the ball where they could go anywhere along the defensive line really.

With Ziggy Ansah’s future semi-uncertain, the Lions need new blood on the edge. And even if Ansah sticks around long-term, they could still use someone opposite him on the edge to help their pass rush moving forward. Marcus Davenport isn’t a flashy pick, but he’s a small-school guy that fits what they need. He can come in right away and balance the pass rush in Detroit with effective array of power and skill off the edge, giving the Lions defense a little pop.
