11. Miami Dolphins: Tremaine Edmunds, LB, Virginia Tech

With the top four quarterbacks in the class off the board already, the Miami Dolphins are ultimately beneficiaries. This is a team that needs to address several big holes on the defense and they have elite prospects on the board here that could fill those voids. And while Vita Vea would be a nice replacement for Ndamukong Suh following his release, Tremaine Edmunds is too tantalizing to let drop past them.

Edmunds is only 19 years old entering the NFL Draft and will be just 20 when the season begins. When you consider that with his size and athletic traits, that should terrify anyone who would have to play the Dolphins. While his instincts aren’t those of a guy like Roquan Smith, he is solid in that area and is the better athlete. Given his youth and all of that, the opportunity for him to develop into a franchise-altering defensive talent is there.

12. Denver Broncos (via Bills): Denzel Ward, CB, Ohio State

After trading down so that the Bills would be able to get Josh Rosen with the No. 5 pick, the Denver Broncos are on the clock with their first selection of the first round. With the departure of Aqib Talib via trade this offseason, the Broncos are left a bit shallow at the position moving forward. As such, they need to add pieces there and Denzel Ward is the best cornerback in the 2018 draft class.

Given the success of Marshon Lattimore last year and the high hopes for Gareon Conley as well, there is a distinct recent track record for Ohio State corners in the NFL that helps Ward’s stock surely. However, his film backs up the hype around him. He’s an all-around corner that can do everything that’s asked of him in coverage, but he also is a willing and capable tackler, despite what his frame might suggest. He’d fit like a glove in Denver.
