San Francisco 49ers: Last-minute prediction of 2018 NFL Draft Big Board
Nos. 11-20
11. Saquon Barkley – Penn State
12. James Daniels – Iowa
13. Marcus Davenport – UTSA
14. Josh Jackson – Iowa
15. Isaiah Wynn – Georgia
16. Lorenzo Carter – Georgia
17. Rashaan Evans – Alabama
18. Connor Williams – Texas
19. Kolton Miller – UCLA
20. D.J. Moore – Maryland
The 49ers invested a lot in Jerick McKinnon at running back but would need to have a conversation if a generational talent like Saquon Barkley was still on the board at nine. San Francisco already has a highly-paid center in Weston Richburg, but Daniels is a great fit for the zone-blocking scheme and has the versatility to play guard.
Isaiah Wynn and Connor Williams each have the ability to play tackle and guard and should appeal to the 49ers, as should the athleticism of Kolton Miller. The 49ers have done their homework on both Marcus Davenport and Lorenzo Carter as EDGE prospects, though each would need more time to develop than Chubb and Landry.
Josh Jackson’s length and ball skills make him an attractive cornerback prospect. Linebacker Rashaan Evans carries intriguing pass-rush upside while D.J. Moore can separate with speed and route-running and is a receiver who should excite Shanahan.
