The Chicago Bears draft grades paint the picture of an excellent 2018 NFL Draft class that could help this team be more competitive next season.

The 2018 NFL Draft is over for the Chicago Bears, who have to be considered one of the winners of the offseason. After hitting it big during free agency, new head coach Matt Nagy came into the draft with a plan and didn’t stray from it.

There were two big concerns coming into Thursday: find weapons and protection for Mitchell Trubisky, and add playmakers to the front seven of the Chicago defense. Every one of the seven picks the Bears made this weekend fall into one of those categories, so kudos to the shotcallers for sticking with the plan.

Overall, I’d say this was an excellent draft class for the Bears on paper. Only time will tell if it truly pans out, but Chicago addressed needs, made upgrades at key positions and got tremendous value with most of their picks. Only one of the selections earned less than a “B” from me, so I’d say it was a terrific haul.

Let’s cut the idle chatter, though. Move along and check out my grades for the Bears’ 2018 NFL Draft class. I wouldn’t say they blew it out of the water, but they certainly avoided making big mistakes that could cost this franchise in the near future.
