Chicago Bears: Grading every 2018 NFL Draft pick
Grade: B+
The Bears are clearly set on stocking the receiving corps with as many potential playmakers as possible. Then again, with what the receiver depth chart looked like last year, it would pretty much be unforgivable to do anything other than what they’ve been doing.
Robinson, Gabriel and Miller are now available for Trubisky to throw to. Let’s add one more intriguing piece to the puzzle in Javon Wims, a one-year starter at Georgia who used his mix of size, reliable hands and tough running after the catch to assert himself as an NFL-caliber talent.
The problem is that he doesn’t sport the speed or athleticism of your typical playmaking receiver. That means he’s going to have to settle into a possession or red-zone role in which he can take advantage of his big frame and dependable hands.

Wims isn’t going to put this Chicago passing game over the top. Still, he’s proved himself capable of making big catches consistently with the Bulldogs a season ago, emerging as Georgia’s leading receiver by the end of the year. The Bears got a quality piece who should push for one of final spots on the receiver depth chart in 2018.
Can’t ask for much more than that in the seventh round.
