The Cleveland Browns ended up selecting nine players in the 2018 NFL Draft. Looking at the data, their athletic profiles and the tape, let’s see how they did.

Despite assertions from so many that the removal of Sashi Brown as the head decision maker of the Cleveland Browns would be the death of analytics in Cleveland, the Browns seemed to spend much of the draft opting for players that scored very well in those areas.

With some help from Jim Cobern providing charts, we can look at the data analysis for their production and athletic profiles as well as seeing what they put out on tape to project their careers going forward as well as what they can do and where they might fit in on the Browns.

This is the first draft for John Dorsey and there was a lot of pressure for him to deliver, especially with the draft assets amassed by Brown. They ended up having five of the to 67 picks, so if this class doesn’t land, it’s going to be a substantial setback for the franchise. Let’s see how they did.
