It has been a busy few months for all 32 teams. With the conclusion of the 2018 NFL Draft, what five acquisitions stand out for the Dallas Cowboys?

The rollercoaster ride in Arlington, TX continues. Back in 2014, the Dallas Cowboys were NFC East champions with a 12-4 record. One year later, due notably to the absence of quarterback Tony Romo for the vast majority of the season, the club plummeted to 4-12 and last place in the NFC East. In 2016, the club staged a big-time comeback.

Dallas won another division title with a 13-3 record, led by league rushing leader Ezekiel Elliott (the fourth overall pick in the 2016 draft), as well as the NFL Rookie of the Year in quarterback Dak Prescott.

So what happened this past year? Elliott would eventually serve a six-game suspension. Wide receiver Dez Bryant had a shaky year despite leading the team in catches, Prescott couldn’t recapture his rookie form and the offensive line wasn’t quite up to snuff. Combine that with a defense that also had its ups and downs and it resulted in a 9-7 showing.

But that was then and this is now. Bryant is gone and so too may be veteran tight end Jason Witten, who is contemplating retirement and a television career. But the quarterback and running back enter their third year and the team finally got busy in free agency after a slow start this offseason.

So now that the 2018 NFL Draft is in the rear view mirror, what five additions did this club make over the last few months to make this team better?
