3. The Cleveland Browns selected Antonio Callaway, WR from Florida 105th overall.

Alternative: They could have selected Micah Kiser, linebacker from Virginia, who went 147th overall to the Los Angeles Rams.

Antonio Callaway is a reasonably talented receiver, the times he’s actually on the field. His off field is nothing short of a disaster. Micah Kiser is a player with outstanding character and achievement who also projects to be a potential Pro Bowl linebacker.

He won the Campbell Award, which is often called the academic Heisman, he was incredibly productive for the Cavaliers and he tested really well as an athlete.

Kiser would be an extremely talented backup to Joe Schobert with potential to be far more. That would enable Genard Avery, the team’s 150th pick to play the position he’s probably best suited, SAM backer behind Jamie Collins.

Kiser would help the Browns with special teams and should they suffer an injury, he could step in and give them a player who really understands how to do his job. He’s a great blitz option and has shown ability to be a nice player in coverage as well.
