4. The Cleveland Browns selected Damion Ratley, WR from Texas A&M 175th overall.

Alternative: They could have selected Zach Sieler, Defensive End from Ferris State, who went 238th overall to the Baltimore Ravens.

Damion Ratley is a good athlete but just has very little production in his college career. Betting against Texas A&M that they just couldn’t use him correctly can work, but usually doesn’t.

Zach Sieler is a huge, productive, very athletic defensive lineman that declared early from Ferris State. He dominated the GLIAC, which has sent a number of players to the NFL in recent years. He potentially can play both defensive end and kick inside.

The Ravens have a ton of defensive linemen on their roster, so it will be worthwhile to keep an eye on who they release as roster cutdowns start to happen. The Browns might actually get a second chance at grabbing a player like Sieler down the road.

Sieler has all the length and size that the team coveted from Chad Thomas, but he’s a better athlete and was significantly more productive, even accounting for the level of competition. He also appears to be more well equipped to be successful in the NFL.
