New York Jets: Green on white
The New York Jets entered the NFL in 1960 and their style then was nothing like what we see today. The original colors were navy blue and gold, but they were also known by a different name.
From 1960 until 1963 they were the Titans of New York. They then became the Jets, the name we all know them as to this very day. Also changing that season was their uniforms, as the Jets started to wear the green and white we all associate with gang green.

While most the style is still similar, the helmet was different as it had an actual jet on the side — which is pretty cool Nowadays though, the Jets helmet features a look nearly identical to what they started to wear in 1965 when they put the word Jets with an “NY” in the background of a green football shaped logo. It’s clean, cool and just works for them.
It works so well that the Jets went back to that style after switching to a green helmet with the word Jets on it from 1978 through 1998. They realized their error and corrected it. Now we see the Jets on a weekly basis looking like they’re supposed to.
Their best look though is their simple green on white. The green looks good with the white shoulders and keeps it from being too much — kind of like the color rush jersey was.
