Cincinnati Bengals: Color rush white

The NFL is reportedly already scrapping their color rush uniform, which is a good idea. The idea was to try and find some gimmick to get fans to tune into Thursday Night Football and hopefully forget that teams aren’t prepared physically to play such a punishing game after a short rest.

What ended up happening is teams wound up looking like they were in clown costumes while playing poor football because they weren’t prepared physically to play such a punishing game after a short rest.

Of course, giving the NFL credit for scrapping this idea is unfair as Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk says it was Fox who nixed the idea. Florio also says some teams may still embrace it.

"“This won’t stop teams from embracing the Color Rush concept on their own. Last week, the Titans unveiled an array of uniforms that includes the light-blue-on-light-blue Smurf look, specifically dubbed the team’s “Color Rush” uniforms.” — Florio, Pro Football Talk"

Not all was bad in the Color Rush campaign. The Cincinnati Bengals looked perfectly fine in their all-white look on Thursday Night Football. Oddly enough, it was the lack of so many colors on their color rush jersey that makes it their best option. Otherwise, they kind of look like a Halloween costume.
