WR Kevin White

It’s time — the Kevin White experiment needs to end already. After three years, it’s clear that he’s never going to repay the Bears for the first-round pick they invested in him.

Through three seasons in Chicago, White has managed 21 catches for 193 yards and zero touchdowns. Those all came in five appearances. Yes, in three seasons, the former No. 7 overall pick has played in five games and put up numbers that you’d be happy to get out of an undrafted free agent in the same time span.

The kid simply can’t stay healthy. He missed his entire rookie season with a stress fracture in his shin. His sophomore season ended after four games due to a broken fibula. Then, his 2017 campaign came to an abrupt halt, ending after one game following a fractured shoulder blade.

Now, the Bears have moved on. This offseason, they signed Robinson and Gabriel to take over as the top receivers. Then, they moved up in the draft to secure the talents of Miller, who was among the most NFL-ready pass catchers of the 2018 draft class.

Suffice it to say, the Bears have already implemented their plan to replace White. He’ll get one more opportunity to prove his worth, but I don’t see it going much different than it has in the past three years. When all is said and done, White will be without a team come September.
