It has been a busy few months for all 32 teams. With the conclusion of the 2018 NFL Draft, what five acquisitions stand out for the Washington Redskins?

Since putting together a strong stretch run in 2015 and winning the NFC East that season, the Washington Redskins have been a slow decline. That 9-7 campaign (which ended with a NFC Wild Card playoff loss to the Green Bay Packers) was followed by an 8-7-1 finish. A year ago, the club slumped to 7-9 and third place in the division. The season ended with a loss to the New York Giants, a club that won a total of three games in 2017.

There have been changes, the biggest being the free-agent departure of quarterback Kirk Cousins. Of course, the Redskins were more than ready when it came to securing another field general. The team orchestrated a deal to obtain Alex Smith from the Kansas City Chiefs, a deal that became official on March 14.

So where is this team headed? A very disturbing fact when it came to Jay Gruden’s club was the fact that Washington was swept by both the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys this past year. All told, the Redskins finished with a highly-disappointing 1-5 divisional record.

While the club made only a few select moves when it came to obtaining veterans, the ‘Skins did add eight players via the draft. So of all the recent acquisitions by the franchise, which five stand out the most?
