We’re about two weeks away from Oakland Raiders OTAs. Some players need to show out or get lost in the roster shuffle. Who’s under the most pressure?

The Oakland Raiders will begin organized team activities (OTAs) May 22. Some rookies and veterans have already set foot on the practice field for minicamp. Before the players have a small intermission, we’ll take a look at those with the most riding on this year’s offseason program.

Every player starts the year with pressure to perform. There’s an emphasis on brand new in Oakland with head coach Jon Gruden taking over the ship.

Aside from roster cornerstones such as quarterback Derek Carr, wideout Amari Cooper and edge-rusher Khalil Mack, it’s imperative to impress the new coaching staff with great effort in the months leading up to the regular season. Even those who joined the team within the past year or two have something to prove.

Gruden added talent to various positions on the depth chart to heighten competition among the players. Training camp battles will sort out regular-season roles and those lagging far behind won’t have a spot in September.

Among the notable names on the roster, which veterans have the most to lose as in-house competition comes to the forefront in the coming months? Six players, in particular, should look over the shoulders with the most urgency on the field.
