2. Ndamukong Suh, DT (from Miami Dolphins)

He’s been in the NFL for a total of eight seasons now. The second overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh has certainly enjoyed his stellar moments. But he’s also been a member of two teams, the Detroit Lions and Miami Dolphins, that have failed to have any postseason success whatsoever with him on the roster.

After five seasons in the Motor City, the former University of Nebraska standout inked a lucrative deal to take his talents to South Florida. After three seasons with the ‘Fins, that organization opted to let him go this offseason. Now he joins the likes of 2017 NFL Defensive Player of the Year Aaron Donald on a defensive unit led by coordinator Wade Phillips. Just imagine the possibilities.

There’s no doubt that Suh has his share of naysayers. Other than serving a two-game suspension back in 2011, the eight-year pro has never missed a game or start. The five-time Pro Bowler and three-time All-Pro has racked up 51.5 sacks from his interior spot. He’s also batted down 28 passes and forced four fumbles during his solid career.

Teamed with Donald as well as another former first-rounder in Michael Brockers, Suh will line up at nose tackle in Phillips’ 3-4 scheme. Yes, there will be high expectations for this Los Angeles’ defense. And one key for this unit is whether Suh can help a unit that racked up 48 sacks, but also allowed the fifth-most rushing yards in the league in 2017.
