1. Allen Robinson, WR (from Jacksonville Jaguars)

The top selection for this club in terms of offseason additions comes in the form of a player who had somewhat of an off season. On opening Sunday at Houston, the Jacksonville Jaguars thoroughly whipped the Texans, 29-7. But the win came with a huge loss as talented wide receiver Allen Robinson would go down with a knee injury. He caught one pass for 17 yards and was done for the remainder of the season.

That didn’t stop the Chicago Bears and general manager Ryan Pace from taking a run at the former Pro Bowler. In both 2015 and 2016, the one-time Nittany Lion and second-round pick in 2014 was targeted exactly 151 times. He combined for 153 receptions, good for 2,283 yards and 20 scores over that span and was named to the Pro Bowl in 2015. That year, he tied for the NFL lead with 14 touchdown receptions.

Robinson spearheads a new-look wide receiving corps that includes fellow free-agent pickups such as Taylor Gabriel (Atlanta Falcons) and Bernie Fowler. There’s also 2018 second-round pick Anthony Miller (Memphis). And perhaps former first-round pick Kevin White will finally put it all together. A year ago, the Bears and Colts produced an NFL-low 13 scores through the air. And no Chicago wide receiver caught more than one touchdown pass this past season. Robinson figures to change that in a big way.
