The Seattle Seahawks lost a number of receiving options in the offseason. We will take a look at some options that could replace the losses.

The Seattle Seahawks are entering a rebuilding phase on the offensive side of the ball. With the addition of Rashaad Penny, they are trying to turn into a run-oriented offense. While in theory this is what they want to accomplish, the fact of the matter is that the NFL has become a pass happy league.

Seattle is lucky enough to have one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL, Russell Wilson. Wilson has shown that he can make all the throws, and has made the best of the receiving talent that he was surrounded with.

Outside of Doug Baldwin and Tyler Lockett, there will be plenty of new faces for Wilson to throw to. During the off-season, the Seahawks lost their top red zone target in Jimmy Graham, who signed with the Green Bay Packers. While Graham may not be the player he once was before his knee injury, he was still effective as a red-zone target for the Seahawks.

The Seahawks also lost Paul Richardson to free agency during the offseason. Richardson signed with the Washington Redskins after a breakout year with the Seahawks.

With the losses of key receivers for the Seahawks, they will need to find a way to address these needs now that the NFL Draft has passed. There are still some veteran options available to address some of these needs. Let’s look at some of the in-house options, and some free agent options to address the hole at receiver.
