It’s been a busy few months for all 32 teams. With the 2018 NFL Draft in the rear view mirror, what five acquisitions stand out for the New York Giants?

Since winning the Super Bowl with a 9-7 record in 2011, the New York Giants have made one playoff appearance in six seasons. The team owns a collective 42-54 record since 2012, with 11 of those wins coming in ’16 when the team claimed a wild-card berth.

Of course, 13 of those 54 losses came this past season, a dubious franchise record for an organization that first joined the NFL in 1925. Head coach Ben McAdoo (who inexplicably benched quarterback Eli Manning for one game) and general manager Jerry Reese were gone by early December. The team would bring back Dave Gettleman, late of the Carolina Panthers but well acquainted with the Giants’ organization, to fill Reese’s role.

The team also hired new head coach Pat Shurmur, who has made his rounds in the league. His most recent gig was as offensive coordinator of the Minnesota Vikings, who came within one victory of Super Bowl LII this past season.

There’s a lot of work to be done here by everyone. But the team made some solid acquisitions both in free agency as well as April’s draft. So what five players will prove to be the New York Giants’ best additions to date?
