New York Jets: 5 Bold predictions for 2018 at start of OTAs
2. A repeat of 2015
2015 ended the worst possible way for the Jets. They went into Buffalo controlling their own destiny for a playoff spot, and lost the game in terrible fashion to miss the playoffs with the only legitimate run for that group of players.

Even though it didn’t end well for them, they did play well. Ryan Fitzpatrick became the first quarterback in franchise history to have 30 touchdowns in a season, and in a rarity, the Jets had two receivers with 1,000-plus yards and 10-plus touchdowns — Eric Decker and Brandon Marshall.
The 2018 Jets have two receivers — Robby Anderson and Terrelle Pryor — who can stretch the defense and a quarterback who can get them the ball downfield. Quincy Enunwa also creates a mismatch with a size advantage and can use his strength to create separation and yards after the catch.
When you add Jermaine Kearse to the mix, they have a dangerous receiving core that can get the ball in many fashions. So, it may look only “decent” on paper, but it’s much more than that potentially. They could very well have two guys eclipse the 1,000-yard mark and have two others be close.
