The first phase of New York Jets organized team activities are underway. We went over two impact players last episode. Now there are two more to add on defense. So who are the impact players for 2018? Let’s take a look.

In a terrible season for the New York Jets, we can look at a lot of things to blame. However, one of the main culprits was from on defensive. The coverage was horrendous, and that has got to change.

That is why the Jets added two key players to the backend of the defense. First, they signed free agent cornerback Trumaine Johnson. Johnson was a true shutdown corner in 2017 despite only having two interceptions. The second addition was sixth round draft pick Parry Nickerson.

Michael will go into depth in this podcast as to why both players help not only secondary, but the defense as a whole, especially the pass rush.

Let’s just say, the Jets are the epitome of team defense. Each layer affects the other, both positively and negatively.
