Taking an early offseason look at the Miami Dolphins as we make predictions for who will be starting on offense for the 2018 season.

Voluntary OTAs have begun for the Miami Dolphins and we’re beginning to see the team get back on the field. While it’s still very early and we’ve only scratched the surface of the summer grind of even making the roster let alone starting in the regular season, it’s still fun to predict who Miami will be running out on the field when the 2018 NFL season kicks off.

Some are obvious choices while others aren’t so easy to predict.

We start our projections with the offense, and there’s no other place to begin than quarterback.

Quarterback

Ryan Tannehill

This is pretty much a no brainer. Brock Osweiler, David Fales and Bryce Petty are no competition for a starting job. Once the Dolphins opted against drafting a quarterback in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft, there was never really a chance anyone would be taking Tannehill’s job this summer.

Even if the team had drafted another quarterback, head coach Adam Gase and the Miami organization has been insistent that Tannehill was going to be their guy heading into this season. While support or lack thereof for Tannehill is a polarizing and divisive topic among the Dolphins fanbase, the job is rightfully his. Let’s not forget how the team was playing last time we saw him on the field and how they played without him in 2017.
