These five players are going to be key to the Seattle Seahawks’ offensive success in the 2018 NFL season.

The Seattle Seahawks have been known as a defensive team during Pete Carroll’s tenure. They have had some of the most dominant defensive players to ever play the game. From the Legion of Boom, to the pass rushing duo of Michael Bennett and Cliff Avril, defense was their calling card. With every great team, there comes a time when players move on, and organizations have trouble being able to keep their core together.

This offseason alone, the Seahawks struggled to retain Richard Sherman and Avril. They also decided to trade away Bennett, three key cogs to their Super Bowl defense.

With the attrition on the defensive side of the ball, the focus of Seattle’s team is beginning to shift. A team that was once lead by defense, has now become Russell Wilson’s team. It’s been six years now since Wilson was a rookie quarterback who was tasked with managing the game. He is no longer handing off to Marshawn Lynch, but instead letting it fly 40 times a game.

While this shift in scheme may have come from the departure of the key defensive players, Wilson has also become one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL. With that being said, let’s look at some key players on offense that will have a big impact on Seattle’s season.
