Duane Brown, OT

The struggles on the offensive line have been an issue for the Seattle Seahawks for the past few years. Russell Wilson has been sacked over 40 times in the last five years, which is amazing for how athletic he is as a player. While I understand that quarterbacks with athleticism will try to run instead of throwing away the ball, which will lead to more sacks, these plays still speak for themselves.

While those highlights may be in preseason, those are starters playing in front of Wilson. Last year Seattle decided that enough was enough, and made a trade for left tackle, Duane Brown. Brown has been a long time starter for the Houston Texans, and is one of the better offensive linemen in the NFL.

After having a dispute in Houston over his contract, the Texans felt Brown was dispensable, and Seattle jumped on the opportunity. Brown has been one of the most consistent offensive lineman in the NFL during his career. He has started in 10 or more games in every season of his career.

While he may not be the same player he once was, he is the anchor Seattle has sorely needed on their offensive line. A healthy and motivated Brown will be key to keeping Wilson healthy and on the field.
