Running back

Starter: Isaiah Crowell
Bench: Bilal Powell, Elijah McGuire, Trenton Cannon*, Dimitri Flowers*

This position may actually change from week to week. This position may be matchup dependent, because you may need more speed early, which would mean Powell would start. However, if you want to punish the team early, then Crowell would start.

Either way, don’t expect one player to dominate the carries or touches in this position. The Jets will likely spread the wealth in terms of catches and carries. With an improved offensive line, there can be expectations of an improved running game, and since they had 1,702 yards and averaged 4.0 yards per carry, there’s no telling what they’re capable of.

Fullback

First on the depth chart at the position (but not a starter): Dimitri Flowers*

Come Week 1, Flowers will be the only fullback on the roster. But as you can see above, the Jets will use him a multitude of ways, because he’s much more than a traditional lead-blocker. He can be used in the Mike Alstott role as a bruiser in the running game, as a lead blocking fullback, or he can line up at the various tight end positions and be a viable pass catching option.
