2. Todd Gurley

One year after failing to record a single 100-yard rushing game, plenty of Los Angeles Rams fans gave up on Todd Gurley being the answer at running back, which ended up being a huge mistake. In Gurley’s defense, it was unfair for the former Georgia star to receive all of the criticism that he did from the 2016 season since the Rams’ offense in general was one of the worst in the NFL.

From a poor offensive line to the team trailing in most games, Los Angeles didn’t exactly do the best of job setting Gurley up to succeed, but all that changed in 2017. Thanks to the hiring of Sean McVay along with making numerous key adjustments to the offense, Gurley was able to have a monster season for the Rams with over 2,000 yards from the line of scrimmage, and even finished second in the MVP race to Tom Brady.

If Gurley’s first year in McVay’s system is any indication of what to expect in the second year, Los Angeles is going to enjoy having their beloved star in the backfield. In a way, this was the kind of production the Rams expected from Gurley all along after taking home Rookie of the Year honors in 2015, and any fantasy football owner that decided to take the chance on the running back last year most likely went on to win their championship.
