17. Alex Collins

Whether they want to admit it or not, offense has been the main reason why the Baltimore Ravens have failed to earn a trip to the playoffs in each of the last three seasons, but give the team credit for bringing on some help during the offseason. A quarterback like Joe Flacco can only do so much on his own without the proper support from the rest of his teammates on offense, and if Alex Collins builds off of last year’s success, the Ravens will be in much better shape.

After he was waived by the Seattle Seahawks before the start of the 2017 season, Collins would end up joining Baltimore, and ended up playing a bigger role than expected by playing in 15 games while rushing for 973 yards to go along with six touchdowns. On paper, these numbers may not stand out like some of the other top running backs in the league, but also keep in mind this was his first full year of action.

Now that Collins has some experience under his belt, the sky seems to be the limit for the former Arkansas star. If Collins ends up coming through, the Ravens should be able to compete with the rest of the contenders in the AFC.
