13. Marshawn Lynch

Convincing Marshawn Lynch to come out of retirement was a bold move by the Oakland Raiders to give the offense a better chance of living up to the Super Bowl hype in 2017, and even though he put together a few good performances, it wasn’t enough. At the start of the regular season, the Raiders seemed to be on their way to living up to the hype following an impressive start, but after going on to win just six games, they would end up being one of the biggest disappointments.

Now, the question becomes whether Oakland has what it takes to learn from last year’s mistakes to become a contender in the AFC once again, although that’s always easier said than done. While Derek Carr should benefit from the duo of Amari Cooper and Jordy Nelson at wide receiver, the Raiders would love to see Lynch return to his effective ways from his time as a member of the Seattle Seahawks.

The whole reason why Oakland was so high on Lynch last season was due to the belief that he was the missing piece to making them a stronger Super Bowl contender. Last season may not have gone according to plan, but Lynch and the Raiders hope this year will be much different.
