It’s been a busy offseason for all 32 NFL clubs. With the 2018 draft a month removed, what five acquisitions stand out for the Pittsburgh Steelers?

It is a franchise built on continuity. And yet, the Pittsburgh Steelers have become somewhat unpredictable in recent seasons. Some would say that this is the most talented team in the league from top to bottom. Which makes their recent playoff failures a little harder to swallow.

This past season, Mike Tomlin’s club tied for the best record in the NFL with a 13-3 mark. And while the New England Patriots, Philadelphia Eagles and Minnesota Vikings all advanced to the conference title game, the Steelers fell at home to the Jacksonville Jaguars, 45-42, in the AFC Divisional Playoffs. It was a one of two losses to the newly-crowned AFC South champions at home in 2017 and a bitter bill for the organization to swallow.

Now it’s 2018 and time to start anew per say. Thanks to general manager Kevin Colbert, the club has made some subtle changes. As usual, the Steelers are relying more on the draft than free agency to upgrade the club. But that doesn’t mean they did not bring in some proven veterans, especially when it comes to the defensive side of the ball?

So when it’s all said and done, what five additions to the Black and Gold will prove to be their best moves this offseason?
