The Dallas Cowboys are wrapping up OTAs but questions remain on the team. Here are three free agents who could put the team over the top.

The Dallas Cowboys still need help. They are hoping to compete for the Super Bowl this year, but there are a few question marks on the team. Fortunately there are some key free agents that may be able to help.

Safety is a position still undefined. The Cowboys have smartly moved Byron Jones to cornerback where he played well. He received high praise from Pro Football Focus on his play. A permanent move to corner will strengthen the secondary provided the Cowboys can fill the void at free safety.

Tight end is normally a solid and stable position for Dallas. But with the retirement of Jason Witten, the position is up for grabs. More than up for grabs, it is actually up for redefinition within the offense. Will the Cowboys go the direction of pass catching Rico Gathers or the blocking of Blake Jarwin. Or could a key free agent fill the void until a young player is ready?

The offensive line is a solid position group on the Cowboys, but there is a question of who will play guard and who will play right tackle. The draft brought Connor Williams to the team, but will he be ready to play at a championship level in his rookie year? Chances are low that will happen, especially if he moves from his normal left tackle position inside to guard. Those transitions take time.

Maybe a veteran free agent could fill in the void while Williams gets comfortable at the position.
