Philadelphia Eagles: Top 5 offseason additions, post 2018 NFL Draft
1. Mike Wallace, WR (from Baltimore Ravens)
From third-round draft choice in 2009 to Pro Bowl performer to free-agent disappointment to a one-year stint in the Twin Cities, etc. And now one of the more talented wide receivers in the league prepares to join his fourth different team in six years.
It has been somewhat of a strange road for Mike Wallace as he prepares for his 10th NFL campaign. The 84th overall section in 2009 flashed a lot of big play potential and came up with a share a memorable moments for the Pittsburgh Steelers for four seasons. He totaled 235 catches for a whopping 4,042 yards (17.2 average) and 32 scores in 63 regular-season contests.
It was off to Miami for two seasons before being traded to Minnesota in 2015. After being cut loose by the Vikings, he latched on with the Baltimore Ravens and seemed to right the ship with John Harbaugh’s club. Wallace totaled 124 catches for 1,765 yards (14.2 average) and eight scores playing pitch and catch with Joe Flacco.
This offseason, the Philadelphia Eagles dealt veteran wideout Torrey Smith to the Carolina Panthers in exchange for cornerback Daryl Worley. The latter wound up with some off-the-field issues and the Birds cut ties with him rather quickly.

In the meantime, general manager Howie Roseman signed Wallace as a potential replacement to fill the role of Smith. And if the nine-year wideout performs as he did the past two seasons, it may prove to be wisest of moves for the defending Super Bowl champions.
