2. Ryan will throw for 40 touchdowns or more

As good of a career that Matt Ryan has had, did you realize he’s never thrown for 40 touchdowns in a single-season? He’s come close a few times with 38 and 32, but that’s it. You can attribute it to the Falcons running the football more often or a lack of a decent offensive line. Whatever the reasons used to be, those don’t exist for Ryan in 2018.

More from Atlanta Falcons

Don’t take that the wrong way, Atlanta definitely has questions surrounding their offense heading in the year; however, Ryan has enough talent around him and enough personal experience to finally reach the 40 touchdown mark.

Plus, when you add another offseason of work alongside offensive coordinator, Steve Sarkisian, Falcons fans should be feeling pretty confident about their veteran quarterback’s chances of having another great year.

While I feel strongly about this prediction for Ryan heading into 2018, we do have to acknowledge the obvious — the Falcons will have their fair share of touchdowns, but the running backs could eat into Ryan’s numbers. Needless to say, if that means Atlanta makes it back to the postseason for the third-straight year, I think every Falcons fan will be just fine.
