3. Freeman will adjust his hard-hitting nature ever so slightly

For any fans of Devonta Freeman, we all know how physical the dude plays each and every week. There are very few guys in the NFL who aren’t afraid to go toe-to-toe with any defender in the league, but Freeman is one of them. However, with another season of concussions for the former FSU star, he may have to change his game.

More from Atlanta Falcons

Take a look at this blurb from Falcons Wire on how Freeman will attempt to change his running style in 2018:

"In order to avoid more injuries, new running backs coach Bernie Parmalee is having Freeman tweak his style (while staying aggressive) so that he’s not taking so much contact head on. Atlanta will need Freeman to follow through on that advice, too. All indications from coach Dan Quinn’s staff are that both Freeman and Tevin Coleman are looking at a heavier workload this coming season."

While I believe we’ll see Freeman attempt to change his running style in 2018, I don’t think it’ll be a drastic change. When push comes to shove, Freeman is going to lower his head and run through as many defenders as possible. Heck, that’s been his identity for quite some time and it’s given the Falcons an edge offensively.
