The Atlanta Falcons added another talented receiver in Calvin Ridley this offseason. Take a look at three bold predictions for the rookie in 2018.
Who would’ve thought the Atlanta Falcons were going to draft Calvin Ridley in the 2018 NFL Draft? There are very few times that a player of his stature makes it past the first ten overall picks, much less well into the twenties. However, no matter what may have happened, I can promise you one thing — the Dirty Birds are definitely glad he’ll be wearing the red and black on Sundays.
Let’s think about this for just one moment, the thought of Ridley joining a Falcons offense with Matt Ryan, Devonta Freeman, Tevin Coleman, Julio Jones and Mohamed Sanu is just ridiculous. I don’t want to sound like a homer, but how can any seriously say there’s a more talented offense than Atlanta’s heading into 2018?
Not to mention, with the addition of Ridley, the Falcons finally have a receiver, other than Jones, who can line up both inside and outside, and torch the defensive secondary over the top.
If the Dirty Birds offensive-line does stay healthy and play better than they did in 2018, goodness gracious. Seriously, goodness gracious. We’ve seen some talented offenses in Atlanta before, but this could be the best we’ve ever seen from the Falcons.
