Marquise Goodwin

After a breakout season in which he proved himself to be much more than just a deep threat and was only denied a 1,000-yard season by a Week 17 concussion, on the surface Goodwin would not appear to be a player in line to lose snaps.

But only Carlos Hyde and four members of the offensive line played more snaps in 2017 and there are a number of wideouts who could cut into his playing time.

Pierre Garcon is set to return from injury and should slot back in at the top of the depth chart, while Dante Pettis figures to receive plenty of run as a rookie second-round pick who can not only stretch the field but also has the ability to make contested catches in the red zone and win with his route-running.

Kendrick Bourne’s size and skills after the catch make him a viable option, particularly inside the 20, while slot receiver Trent Taylor should continue to be depended on after an extremely impressive rookie year.

Goodwin deserves to be an integral part of the offense, but with so many mouths to feed, it stands to reason his snaps will drop off somewhat.
