Defensive Line: Khalil Mack, Justin Ellis, Maurice Hurst, Bruce Irvin, Mario Edwards Jr., Arden Key, P.J. Hall, Eddie Vanderdoes, Frostee Rucker, Treyvon Hester (10)

Notable Omissions: Fadol Brown, Ahtyba Rubin

Don’t worry. Khalil Mack will take the field with a fresh new deal before Week 1 — end of story there.

Fadol Brown looked impressive through minicamp. However, the coaching staff ejected him from practice after a fight with Parker. He’ll probably list as the best player on the practice squad. Nonetheless, if anyone on the defensive line, such as Eddie Vanderdoes, starts the season on the physically unable to perform list, Brown will make the 53-man roster.

For now, Vanderdoes’ agent expects him to participate at training camp seven months after tearing his ACL, per Las Vegas Review-Journal reporter Michael Gehlken. As a result, Mario Edwards Jr. could see more reps at defensive end with several rotating players on the interior.

Last year, Frostee Rucker led all interior defensive lineman in stops (23) for the Arizona Cardinals, per Pro Football Focus. He started all 16 games and played 606 snaps. At 34 years old, he still brings value in run defense. As Vanderdoes recovers, the 12th-year veteran could flash as a proven commodity, who lines up inside and outside.

Treyvon Hester could find himself in a roster bubble battle with Rucker and Brown through the final preseason game.
