The preparation for the 2018 season continues for all 32 NFL clubs. So what five additions stand out for the Buffalo Bills?

It took a season-ending win in South Florida and a little assistance from the Cincinnati Bengals, both in Week 17, for the Buffalo Bills to reach the playoffs a year ago. The latter rallied to beat the Ravens in Baltimore and that meant Sean McDermott’s club — despite five losses in their final nine games — were a member of the NFL’s 12-team postseason field for the first time since 1999.

Despite a somewhat-successful, there have been a slew of changes. Quarterback Tyrod Taylor was dealt to the Cleveland Browns and star left tackle was traded to the Cincinnati Bengals. And the team used a pair of first-round selections in April to address both positions.

The Buffalo Bills haven’t been crowned AFC East champions since head coach Marv Levy was still at the helm in 1995. Getting past the New England Patriots has been a Herculean task that no team has accomplished within the division since the Miami Dolphins in 2008.

It’s been another offseason of additions and subtractions in Orchard Park and this team has no intents of resting on its modest laurels. So which five pickups this year were the team’s best over the past few months? There were plenty to choose from.
