Green Bay Packers: Who makes team’s Mount Rushmore?
With Independence Day now behind us, let’s look at the four people who make up the Green Bay Packers version of Mount Rushmore.
The Green Bay Packers franchise has been around for almost 100 years. When an organization has been around that long, finding influential and historic people to symbolize your franchise is a fairly easy task. Narrowing it down to just four, however, is much more difficult. Just like finding four people to symbolize the United States was a tough task.
Mount Rushmore recognizes four of the greatest presidents in United States history. George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln made a significant impact on the USA in some way.
The Packers have had numerous people make a huge impact for the team, on and off the field. From coaches to players to front office personnel, the Packers have been lucky enough to have multiple great people in all areas of the organization. Many truly great individuals won’t make the cut for the Packers’ Mount Rushmore.
However, just because someone didn’t make my edition of the Packers’ Mount Rushmore doesn’t mean they weren’t impactful. The same goes for the real-life Mount Rushmore.
We will look at four impactful people from the Packers organization from all eras of the team. From the humble beginnings of the 1920s to the Lombardi era, the resurrection in the 1990s to the present day.
