1. RB C.J. Prosise

For the better part of the last two years, I’ve been patiently waiting for C.J. Prosise to emerge as the star of the Seattle ground game. As you can probably imagine, it’s been a painful wait that doesn’t appear to be anywhere near ending.

In fact, I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if the Seahawks simply called it quits. The Prosise experiment has yielded little results up to this point. What makes Pete Carroll and Co. think it’s suddenly going to sprout wings and fly between now and September?

Drafting Rashad Penny in the first round was the latest step towards Prosise’s looming demise. The emergence of Chris Carson (no matter how brief) didn’t help either. Realistically, though, it was the never-ending string of injuries that is going to cost Prosise his opportunity in Seattle.

Since joining the team, the former Notre Dame star simply hasn’t stayed healthy. Prosise has managed to see the field in only 11 games across two seasons, limited as a result of shoulder and ankle injuries. Although we’ve gotten small tastes of the versatility and playmaking abilities he possesses as a receiving back, the inability to stay off the IR list overshadows everything else.

I always had high hopes for Prosise. Maybe a change of scenery would do him some good. Whether or not that’s the case, he may be forced to test out the idea by the time Seahawks training camp has come to a close.
